These works began as documentations of the pulp and paper mill in Kenora, Ontario. A documentation of what was once the workplace for many of the citizens of the town. A documentation of a building before it was demolished and plowed over.
Today this structure does not exist, and the photos I took to document it have been altered. These images were created in a multi-step process. Each photo negative was scanned and then printed onto larger transparency sheets. The sheets were cut, overlapped, and collaged. These collages played the role of giant negatives from which contact prints where made in the darkroom.
